He began his musical education at the conservatory in Toulouse in the subjects cello and trombone and continued his studies on both instruments in Lyon and Paris.<\/p>\n<p>Fabrice Millischer is a laureate of numerous competitions, including the International Competition for Trombone in Budapest (2005) and the Competition for Baroque Trombone in Toulouse (2006). In 2011 he won the French &#8220;Victoires de la Musique&#8221; prize in the genre of best young artist and the German Echo Klassik 2014 for the best concert recording of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Fabrice Millischer regularly performs with well-known baroque ensembles and appears as a soloist with renowned orchestras such as the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the SWR Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, the Orchestra &#8220;Hermitage&#8221; Saint Petersburg, the Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. Concert tours have taken him to Washington, Sao Paulo, Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul, Munich, Geneva and Paris. Several contemporary works for trombone have been dedicated to him.<\/p>\n<p>Fabrice Millischer teaches as professor for trombone at the &#8220;Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique et de Danse&#8221; in Paris and at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Freiburg &#8211; before that already at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Saarbr\u00fccken, where he was appointed in 2009 as the youngest professor in Germany.
