Jennifer Tauder-Ammann

Jennifer Tauder-Ammann was born in Styria, Austria, in 1984. She began studying the trumpet at the University of Music in Graz when she was still a student at the Musikgymnasium (music high school). In 2005, she began studying at the Basel School of Music, where she was taught by Prof. Klaus Schuhwerk. In 2010, she graduated with a Master of Arts in Education, and in 2013 with a Master of Arts in Performance, minoring in singing.

Jennifer Tauder is substitute musician in various orchestras, e.g. the Bern Symphony Orchestra and the Basel Symphony Orchestra. Since 2012, she has been teaching the trumpet at the Basel Music School.

Jennifer Tauder is involved in various workshops as a and projects with all kinds of music ensembles (brass band, wind orchestra, marching band) as teacher and conducter. Since January 201, she has been the conductor of the Brass Band Frenkendorf.

Hornroh, a modern alphorn quartet, which she joined in spring 2012, is an interesting and exiting addition to her varied portfolio. She has performed at the most beautiful concert halls of the world, playing with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, RSO Wien, SWR Freiburg, Tonhalle Zürich and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Performing with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra at the BBC Proms at Royal Albert Hall in London is one of her highlights.
